Although not everyone is ready to come back just yet, all 4 divisions are working hard to identify those who are ready. While ensuring an emphasis on safety, it has been wonderful to see how excited everyone is to do activities together again. All in-person services are currently a hybrid program schedule, meaning a few days with limited hours at the facility and in the community and the rest of the time participating in their favorite Zoom sessions.
The South-North division was the first to get the ball rolling. On May 19thhybrid services were offered in the Irwindale, Claremont, Diamond Bar, City of Industry, and Pomona offices. As of July 19th, all remaining programs in the division are providing limited in-person services.
The North division started a working group on May 24th at Growth Jet. Three participants are employed as warehouse attendants and love their job! As of July 19th every location is offering hybrid services.
As of July 19th, the South-South division is providing hybrid services to over 200 of the people they serve! Each week additional clients are adding in-person services to their schedules.
The Central Valley division offered their first in-person activities on July 19th. To date, over 200 people we serve are happy to be back with their friends and accessing the community. In the coming weeks, all remaining locations will add in-person activities. The overall excitement level has been even higher than was anticipated!
There is no doubt this has been a rough 17 months. But, SVS is cautiously optimistic that exciting times lie ahead!
